NBA champion Kyle Kuzma voiced his approval for the four-point line of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
"100 percent. I think it is good for the game. It allows more space," Kuzma told reporters on Monday, August 26, during a media session at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati.
Kuzma, who currently plays for the Washington Wizards, mentions that many NBA players can already shoot 27-feet away from the basket, and he expects that fans will like the four-point basket if adopted by the league.
"A lot of us can shoot from that far and I think it will be more dramatic in the NBA. Fans will probably like it too," Kuzma said.
Kuzma even added that the introduction of the four-point line to the NBA will allow Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors to score more points per game.
Curry currently holds the record for the most three-points made in the regular season (3,747), and in the playoffs (618).
Starting the ongoing 2024 PBA Governor's Cup, the PBA installed a four-point line at 27-feet away from the basket, and Chris Banchero of the Meralco Bolts became the first player to make a shoot in the said area.
Prior the 49th season of the PBA, the league only utilized the four-point line in All-Star Games.
