Hurrican Milton hits Florida with tornadoes, surge and wind; 'Extremely Dangerous'

Hurricane Milton struck Florida’s west coast on Wednesday evening as a powerful Category 3 hurricane, bringing life-threatening storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding to the region, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
"Data indicate the eye of Hurricane Milton has made landfall near Siesta Key in Sarasota County along the west coast of Florida," the NHC reported in its 8:30 pm (0030 GMT Thursday) bulletin.
