The House of Representatives in Quezon City will serve as "Register Anywhere Project" (RAP) site for three days next week, during which time applications for voter registration will be accepted.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced in a statement that it had inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday with House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez for the installation of a RAP center inside the lower chamber's facility from January 25 to 27.
Starting at 8 a.m., applications will be taken. to 5 p.m.
The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in 2023 coincides with the nationwide registration procedure (BSKE).
The MOU was signed in the Batasang Pambansa Complex in the presence of Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, members of the Commission en banc, and senior Comelec officials.
Any eligible applicant living anywhere in the Philippines may register at the RAP locations under the initiative by submitting their application form, supporting documentation, and having their biometrics taken there.
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has also been selected as a RAP hub, and it will serve as one from January 16 through January 20.
In addition to the House of Representatives, the Senate of the Philippines in Pasay City will also serve as a RAP site on January 25.
SM Fairview in Quezon City, Robinsons Manila, SM Sucat in Paraaque City, Robinsons Galleria also in Quezon City, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Robinsons Tacloban in Leyte, SM City Legazpi in Albay, and Robinsons Naga in Camarines Sur are among the malls that currently double as RAP sites in Metro Manila, Leyte, and Bicol.
Weekend application acceptance for these private institutions began on December 17–18, 2022, and will continue through January 21–22.
