The House of Representatives targets to approve the prosposed 2025 national budget, worth Php 6.352 trillion, in third and final reading by September 25.
Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo, vice chairperson of the House Appropriations Committee, said that plenary debates for the 2025 General Appropriations Bill will begin on Monday, Septmeber 16.
"Naka-calendar na ang General Appropriations Bill as amended for plenary debates beginning September 16," Quimbo said on Friday, September 13, in a press conference.
"Kung masusunod namin ang schedule, hopefully, sana wala masyadong mangyaring eventful, matatapos namin maaprubahan on third reading ang General Appropriations Bill by September 25," she added.
On Monday, the Lower House of Congress will deliberate on the budgets of the Department of Finance, National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Budget and Management, the Department of Justice, and the Judiciary branch.
