Lawmakers are asked to submit reports on their respective districts to identify the extent of damage that certain locations sustained due to ‘Kristine’.

The reports will be compiled by the House to know how certain areas are coping, a few weeks after the severe tropical storm left the country. House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias “Ponyong” P. Gabonada Jr. said that around 30 congressional districts were severely affected by ‘Kristine’.

Due to this, House Speaker Martin Romualdez ordered that lawmakers submit their reports to know which area they should provide additional assistance to, as rehabilitation efforts are ongoing for Kristine-hit areas.

According to Gabonada, the reports should be submitted immediately, so that any further inquiries can be discussed at the bicameral conference.

The proposed 2025 national budget is among the top agenda to be discussed once sessions in Congress resume. House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe said that they are aiming to ratify the bicam report before Christmas break on December 20.
