Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner-up Herlene 'Hipon' Budol is off on a new journey as she will represent the Philippines in her first international pageant.
On Sunday, the comedian-turned-beauty queen was introduced as one of the official candidates for the Miss Planet International which be held on Nov. 19 in Kampala, Uganda
“Philippines. We are glad to announce that Herlene Hipon Budol, first runner-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2022, will represent the Philippines at the Miss Planet International 2022,” the caption for the post read.
According to its official Facebook account, the pageant’s mission is the “compliance of the sustainable development goals accepted by the United Nations members.”
Budol’s manager, Wilbert Tolentino, who was recently named national director of Miss Planet International Philippines, earlier revealed that he now has the exclusive rights to pick the country’s candidate in the international pageant, and he has chosen Budol to compete in it.
Budol rose to fame as the “Sexy Hipon Girl” from the variety show Wowowin. In May, she joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant.
