Miss Grand Philippines recently concluded its inaugural final screening to select the official contestants for this year's highly anticipated pageant.

During the event held at Teatrino, Greenhills on June 2, the national pageant unveiled the first group of 11 delegates out of the total 16 aspiring beauties who are competing for the coveted crowns.

The contestants radiated confidence and elegance as they showcased their charm in swimsuits and stunning white ensembles.

Among the notable candidates are familiar faces in the beauty pageant scene, including Herlene Budol, the first runner-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2022, Michelle Arceo, the first runner-up of Miss Environment International 2022, and Shanon Tampon, who previously held the title of Miss Elite Philippines 2022.

Joining them are Gabrielle Runnstrom, a former candidate of Binibining Pilipinas 2013, Maria Gail Devora Tobes, who participated in Binibining Pilipinas 2017, Jirah Bantas, a contender in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022, Carla Fatima Tobias, Laica Eupeña, Ejay Vergara, Queen Mongcupa, and Rona Lalaine Lopez.

The reigning queen, Roberta Tamondong, will pass on her crown to the deserving winner during the coronation night scheduled for July 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The newly crowned Miss Grand Philippines will then represent the country in the international pageant held in Vietnam in November.

The organizers earlier revealed that they will be crowning not one, but two queens during the highly anticipated event.

This year marks the first edition of Miss Grand Philippines under the ownership of ALV Pageant Circle's Arnold Vegafria, who recently acquired the pageant from Binibining Pilipinas Organization, which held the license for the past decade.

While the Philippines has yet to secure the coveted golden crown in the international pageant, the country has produced remarkable titleholders such as Nicole Cordovez and Samantha Bernardo, who both achieved the remarkable feat of being first runners-up in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
