Per President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive, the Malacañang issued the list of regular and special holidays for 2025.
On Wednesday, October 30, Philippine Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed Proclamation No. 727, declaring regular and special working and non-working holidays for the following year. The Administrative Code of 1987, permits the office to declare certain days, moveable or specific, as special or regular holidays.
In accordance with that, the following dates are declared as regular holidays and special days for the year 2025:
Regular Holidays
- January 1 (Wednesday) - New Year’s Day
- April 9 (Wednesday) - Araw ng Kagitingan
- April 17 (Thursday) - Maundy Thursday
- April 18 (Friday) - Good Friday
- May 1 (Thursday) - Labor Day
- June 12 (Thursday) - Independence Day
- August 25 (Last Monday of August) - National Heroes Day
- November 30 (Sunday) - Bonifacio Day
- December 25 (Thursday) - Christmas Day
- December 30 (Tuesday) - Rizal Day
Special (Non-Working) Days
- August 21 (Thursday) - Ninoy Aquino Day
- November 1 (Saturday) - All Saints’ Day
- December 8 (Monday) - Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
- December 31 (Wednesday) - Last Day of the Year
Special (Working) Holiday
- February 25 (Tuesday) - EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary
Additional Special (Non-Working) Days
- January 29 (Wednesday) - Chinese New Year
- April 19 ( Saturday) - Black Saturday
- December 24 (Wednesday) - Christmas Eve
- October 31 (Friday) - All Saints’ Day Eve
Specific dates for the observance of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha holidays will be announced after approximate dates are finalized under the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar—whichever one is possible or convenient, the Malacañang clarified.

The Office of the President asked the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos to inform them of the actual dates of the specified holidays.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will promulgate the implementing guidelines. The Proclamation will take effect immediately, upon its publication in the official Gazette.
