Mew just pulled off the ultimate grand romantic gesture, and we are all here for it!
Love has won again for the LGBTQIA+ community, as wedding bells started to ring as Thai actors Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn are now officially engaged.
Mew's grand proposal to Tul was aligned with the press conference and official launch for his opening single, Absence, on Thursday, October 24.
Prior to the now viral moment, Mew said that the song was made for the person “who has come to fulfill his empty heart.” He recalled discussing releasing a song for his marriage proposal with a songwriter.
The great romantic gesture came after Mew called his boyfriend Tul on stage. He then proceeded to kneel and asked Tul for his hand in marriage. However, before accepting the proposal, Tul also knelt and faced his boyfriend, before saying Yes.
In an Instagram post, Mew shared the momentous occasion, captioning the photo with: “He said YES.”

The heartwarming moment delighted Boys Love (BL) fans, as Tul mentioned how grateful he is for Mew. He added that he was touched because no one had ever done something as grand for him before.
MewTul confirmed their relationship in July this year, in a guest appearance for My Ambulove, a Thai program on YouTube. The couple had been close friends before the start of their relationship.
Mew is known for the 2020 Thai BL series, TharnType: The Series, where he portrayed one of the protagonists, alongside fellow star “Gulf” Kanawut Traipipattanapong.
Tul first gained recognition as a model, before making his acting debut in the series Bad Romance.
In June this year, Thailand became the first ASEAN country to legalize same-sex marriage, permitting LGBTQIA+ couples to have the same rights as heterosexual couples.
