Herlene Budol has officially retired from joining beauty pageants.
The comedian-turned-beauty queen made the revelation in her latest vlog on her YouTube Channel.
"I'm Herlene Nicole Budol, and I'm sorry Philippines. This is my final pageant, good-bye," Budol said as she cried on camera.
"Huy, hindi po ako umaarte, ha... Nasasaktan lang po ako because all of your statements that you made about how long you intended for me to be sumali were totoo. I don't deserve it," she said.
The actress-beauty queen recently gained attention for the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 question-and-answer round that she "dog showed," while other netizens called attention to her glaring frown while she was just crowned Miss Philippines Tourism.
"Kaya humihingi po ako ng sorry sa inyong lahat. Sa lahat po ng mga taong sumusuporta sa akin, thank you so much po. Kayo po ang dahilan kung ‘bat ako nandito," she said.
"Sa mga may ayaw po sa akin, titigil na po ako. Hindi ko na po ipipilit ‘yung sarili ko," she continued.
