Southwest Monsoon, or habagat will be affecting some areas of the country as the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was seen over Itabayat, Batanes, according to PAGASA on Thursday, Sept. 14.
In the weather bureau's latest bulletin, the LPA was seen over 395 kilometers east-northeast of Itabayat Batanes.
Due to the Southwest Monsoon, Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN and BARMM will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also caused by the Southwest Monsoon.
Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms may occur in those affected areas.
Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speeds moving to the southwest with slight to moderate coastal water.
Light to moderate wind speeds moving to the southwest and southeast will be experienced in the rest of Luzon with slight to moderate coastal water.
Sunrise will be at 5:45 AM, while sunset will be at 5:59 PM.
