The Southwest Monsoon, or habagat, will bring cloudy skies and rain over parts of Luzon on Friday, August 4.

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Ilocos Region and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to habagat, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The weather bureau also noted that Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Strong winds with a southwesterly direction are predicted for Luzon along with coastal waters.
Visayas will have moderate to strong wind speeds moving southwestward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
