The southwest monsoon, or habagat, will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain, and thunderstorms over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Thursday, August 17, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Based on the weather bureau's latest bulletin, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, BARMM, Palawan, and Southern Leyte will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
For wind and coastal water conditions, the whole country will experience light to moderate wind speeds moving in the southwest to west direction, while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.m., while sunset will be at 6:18 p.m.
