The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) announced on Monday that the first tranche of salary increases for qualified government workers would likely be released this month.
"Baka itong month na ito mabigay ang retroactive nila depende sa agency. Kailangan mabilis po mag compute ang ating mga ahensya,” DBM Secretary Amenah Pangamdaman said.
The actual release date will be contingent on the promptness of government agencies in completing the necessary computations.
The budget secretary mentioned that the mid-year bonus will also be included in the release.
According to Pangandaman, the National Budget Circular and Local Budget Circular were signed on Monday morning, and their publication is expected to occur the next day.
“But in the meantime, napadala na rin po natin ‘yung guidelines sa ating national government agencies para masimulan na po nila ang computation ng mga adjustment,” said Pangamdaman.
