The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will distribute the year-end bonus and ₱5,000 cash gift to government employees this November, as announced by Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro on Tuesday.
According to Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, the early release of the benefits reflects the Marcos administration’s appreciation for the dedication and service of public servants nationwide.
She said the initiative aims to provide financial relief and support to government workers and their families ahead of the holiday season.
For fiscal year 2025, the DBM has allocated ₱63.69 billion for the year-end bonuses of civilian and uniformed personnel, and ₱9.24 billion for the cash gift. These funds will cover over 1.85 million government employees nationwide.
The DBM added that the move underscores the government’s recognition of the hard work and heroism of public servants in delivering essential services to the Filipino people.
