Step back, the silly girls are coming back in January 2023!
On Friday, South Korean news outlet SPOTV News reported that SM Entertainment’s super girl group GOT The Beat will release a new song and a music video next year.
“The music video shooting has already been completed. The group is expected to show off its ‘Avengers girl group’ aspect in its new song,” the outlet said.
In a report from Soompi, a representative from SM Entertainment confirmed the news.
“GOT the beat is preparing with the aim of making a January comeback. Please show lots of interest," the SM representative said as quoted by Soompi.
GOT The Beat is one of SM Entertainment’s projects where its female artists including BoA, Girls Generation, Red Velvet, and Aespa will join forces. This is similar to the label's avengers boy group Super M that debuted in 2019.
Also known as Girl On Top, the group will have different sub-units.
The first unit debuted earlier in January this year with the R&B track “Step Back.”
The seven-member group consists of soloist BoA, Girls Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet Seulgi and Wendy, and Aespa Karina and Winter.
