The long wait is finally over for our comfort Boys Love characters Sarawat and Tine to finally come home as GMMTV announces that release date for the theatrical release of #2GetherTheMovie.
You read it right. The phenomenal BL series #2gethertheseries is getting a movie version. According to GMMTV, the producer of the said series, the release date for #2getherthemovie is on April 22. However, for now there have been no details yet whether the movie will simultaneously be released somewhere else aside from Thailand.
The news immediately went viral as both Thai superstars Bright Vachirawit and Win Metawin playing the beloved characters of Sarawat and Tine respectively, took to their social media and announced the play date of their movie.
Based on the official trailer of the film, something big is bound to happen between Sarawat and Tine.
Fans are anticipating that the two characters will end up married as at the end of the last of the five-special episodes of #Still2gether, Sarawat already proposed to Tine. Aside from this, there have been hints since last year that a wedding is happening, all the cast and crew are just too cautious on keeping the identities of the couple under wraps.
An insider also revealed that the #2getherthemovie will be helmed by three directors. They will re-tell both #2gethertheseries and #Still2gether, and further explore the characters of Sarawat and Tine and how they end up destined to be together. Some special scenes will also be included as this will provide a cohesive understanding of the story, plus an ending that will surely leave the people who loved these characters very well satisfied.
The much-anticipated movie will also have a special song, some fans are already guessing that the OST will be sang by Win. However, knowing that both Bright and Win can sing very well, and have contributed to the ost of the first two series, let’s hope that there will be a collaboration between them and maybe the band Scrubb? Fans do not just love the two series, they are enamored by the ost as well, which are majority hit songs by Scrubb.
#2getherthemovie will be Bright and Win’s first big screen project. The two, popularly known as BrightWin catapulted to fame last year with the release of #2gether:theseries and #still2gether. As the world turned to a standstill because of the pandemic, people tuned in to entertainment to relieve themselves of stress and uncertainties and the series, together with the characters became their security blanket.
They cheered for the love story between the Inspector and his beloved little buffalo. They also fell deeply connected with the other supporting characters, embracing them as if they’re all one big-extended family.
The movie could be Sarawat and Tine’s way of saying goodbye to us, but it could also mean the beginning of a happy ending for the two of them, something that we all want and hope for them to happen.
For Bright and Win, the future for these two young actors remains promising as projects continue to pour in. They will also be starring in the Thai version of the Mangga hit-series Boys Over Flowers. Incidentally, the release date of this series has been pushed back to August because there have been delays due to certain protocols, they needed to follow amid the current CoVid19 pandemic.
