The Gilas Pilipinas Boys earned their second win in the 2023 FIBA U16 Asian Championships with a 75-52 rout of Malaysia on Wednesday, September 19, in Doha, Qatar.

Kiefer Alas finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Kurt Velasquez added 13 points for the Philippines that went up by 34 points at most.

The Filipinos never felt threatened after ending the first quarter with a 21-point advantage, 29-8.

None of the Malaysian players scored double digits as their top scorers in the game, Yen Joon Chua, Tze Hen Brandon Kho, and Elvin Kho, all chipped in seven points.
