The Gilas Pilipinas completed a sweep of the FIBA Under-16 Asian Championships SEABA qualifiers in Indonesia after defeating the host team, 77-65, on Wednesday, July 19.

Kiefer Alas finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds while both CJ Amos and Kurt Velasquez added 14 points for the victory of the Philippines.

Prior to facing off against Indonesia, Gilas Pilipinas also secured wins against Malaysia, 94-52, and Thailand, 85-49.

The undefeated run of the Filipinos in the qualifiers secured their spot in the FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship which will run from September 17 to September 24 in Doha, Qatar.
