Joaquin Ludovice scored 25 points, while Kiefer Alas also recorded 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Filipino youths to grab their first-ever win against the Koreans.
The Philippines never let go of the lead after scoring the first seven points of the game.
Kurt Nathan Velazquez, who finished with 17 points, scored the basket that allowed the Filipinos to grab their biggest lead in the game, 54-20.
Daniel Edi registered 18 points and 12 rebounds while Woohyeok Yang added 11 points to pace South Korea.
Gilas Pilipinas will seek to continue the winning streak of the country and book a ticket to the semifinals when the squad faces Japan on Saturday, September 23.
