International celebrity couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have called it quits, according to People.
In its report, the longtime couple has decided to end their relationship after Malik got embroiled in a physical altercation with the supermodel's mother, Yolanda Hadid.
The former One Direction member earlier released a statement following a TMZ report that Yolanda was considering filing a police report against him for striking her, according to the report. Malik told the outlet he "adamantly" denied Yolanda's "false allegations" that he struck her.
Hadid and Malik share a one-year-old daughter together, Khai, whom they welcomed last year.
"They are not together right now. They are both good parents though," a friend of the Hadid family told People.
"They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild," Gigi's rep also released a statement to People.
"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."
The two quietly reunited the following year, and then welcomed baby Khai in 2020.
