The story of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo regarding her life that she was just a "love child" may have been made up to gather sympathy from people, according to Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian.
Gatchalian made the statement after learning that Guo's mother is Chinese based on his investigation.
In an exclusive interview during DZRH Dos Por Dos on Thursday, Gatchalian said he received information that Guo lived in Valenzuela City where she allegedly introduced her mother.
"Sa kaniyang address mayroon doong Valenzuela City. Apparently sinabi niya tumira siya sa Valenzuela City, nagtanong-tanong ako sa amin dahil malapit lang naman sa amin at mayroong kuwento na lumalabas na mayroon siyang pinakilalang nanay na ang pangalan ay Wen Yi," said Gatchalian.
Gatchalian said documents showed that "Wen Yi" was in Guo's family corporations and even traveled monthly.
"Seven out of 14 ng mga family corporations nila nandoon si Wen Yi at madalas sa biyahe [kasama] nung kaniyang tatay," Gatchalian noted.
Citing travel documents, Gatchalian said "Wen Yi" could be Guo's biological mother, traveling 170 times to China and other countries.
"Madalas niyang kasama itong taong ito, masasabi nating circumstancial 'to. Pero yung sa akin personal kong pag-aanalisa malapit na tao ito kasil travel buddy niya at trusted na tao ito dahil nasa family corporations nila."
Furthermore, Gatchalian said Guo's family had alleged previous business transactions in Valenzuela City with Guo who negotiates.
"Siya [Guo] mismo ang nakikipagnegosyo dahil magaling siya magtagalog. Yung mga magulang niya hindi marunong magtagalog," he said.
"Dapat ma-check kung nandito pa ang nanay sa Pilipinas. Nakita ko sa travel records halos buwan-buwan bumiyahe," he furthered.
The Senator said it is important to look at the evidence rather than the story made by the mayor.
Gatchalian disclosed an executive session will be conducted next week to study and review the documents they gathered before the next hearing.
