Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products again starting on Tuesday, July 25 as oil companies announced hikes, marking the second straight week of increases for gasoline and the third for both diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said the price of gasoline would rise by P1.35 per liter and diesel by 45 centavos per liter. Kerosene will cost 35 centavos more per liter as well.
The pricing changes will be put into effect by 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
A week ago, the cost of gasoline increased by P1.90 per liter, the cost of diesel by P2.10 per liter, and the cost of kerosene by P1.80 per liter.
According to the Department of Energy, this led to a year-to-date net decrease of 85 centavos per liter for diesel and P3.70 per liter for kerosene.
The cost of gasoline increased by P7.55 per liter overall.
