Consumers will have to brace for a new round of pump price hike this week.
On Monday, oil firms announced the upward adjustment, marking the fifth straight week for gasoline and diesel, and the second for kerosene.
In an advisory, Shell said it will implement a PHP 0.75/liter increase to gasoline, PHP 1.50/liter for diesel, and PHP 0.80/liter increase for kerosene.
Cleanfuel will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 AM on Tuesday for Shell, and at 4:01 PM the same day for Cleanfuel.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Latest data available from the DOE indicate year-to-date net increases of PHP 4.40 per liter for gasoline and PHP 2.90 per liter for diesel, and a net decrease of PHP 0.05 per liter as of January 30.
