Ser Jorah is making his way to Philippine cinema this year!
Globally renowned “Game of Thrones” actor Iain Glen will star alongside Filipino celebrities in the upcoming “Quezon” biopic, announced its producer, TBA Studios.
According to a Showbiz Spotted report, the Scottish actor will be playing the role of Leonard Wood, the American army general who served as the country’s Governor-General from 1921 to 1927.
"(Iain Glen) has gravitas. But at the same time, he can let loose, which is important for the role of Leonard Wood," Director Jerrold Tarrog said in a press release.
In a video, Glen can be seen in a script reading session at the Manila Hotel with co-stars Jericho Rosales and Benjamin Alves.

Glen is popularly known for his role as exiled knight Jorah Mormont in the HBO phenomenon “Game of Thrones,” and as Dr. Alexander Isaacs in the film series “Resident Evil.”
Jericho Rosales has been cast as the film’s titular character, Manuel L. Quezon; Benjamin Alves as a younger Quezon; Mon Confiado as Quezon’s political rival, Emilio Aguinaldo; and Karylle as First Lady Aurora Quezon.
It was revealed on February 17 that Rosales had been chosen to bring Quezon to life onscreen.
“Quezon,” the third installment of TBA Studios’ “Bayaniverse,” follows the story of Manuel L. Quezon, a Filipino lawyer and soldier who went on to become the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 up until 1944.
The film follows 2015’s “Heneral Luna,” with John Arcilla as its fiery lead, and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral (The Boy General)” starring Paulo Avelino in 2018.
“Quezon” is set to premiere in 2025.
