Fuel prices down for third straight week on Tuesday
by Mary Antalan16 September 2024

Fuel prices in the Philippines are set to drop for the third consecutive week, with major oil companies announcing rollbacks effective Tuesday, September 17.

Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. confirmed a reduction of P1.00 per liter for gasoline, P1.30 per liter for diesel, and P1.65 per liter for kerosene.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will also reduce gasoline and diesel prices by the same amount.

Despite these rollbacks, the reductions are not enough to offset the cumulative price hikes seen earlier this year.

Analysts cite global oil price fluctuations and local market factors as ongoing contributors to fuel price volatility.
