A former chief of police of San Pedro City, Laguna was found dead inside his condominium unit.

Initial report from the Laguna Police Provincial Office's (LPPO) said the lifeless body of San Pedro City Chief of Police PLt. Col. Victor Ben Isidore Aclan was discovered with a gunshot wound inside his room in Holland Park Condominium in San Francisco, Biñan.

LLPO said it was Police Corporal Japer Aaron Mercado, one of Aclan’s security staff, who heard the fire shot at around 8:30 am. After he went to the former Chief of Police's room, he found the latter’s body lying on the floor.

Laguna police are investigating if Aclan was shot dead due to the accidental discharge of a firearm.

As of this writing, the incident is still being investigated.
