Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Francisco Marbil has officially appointed former Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Chief Leo Francisco as the new director of the PNP Civil Security Group.
Francisco will be replacing PMGen. Edgar Alan Okubo, who was promoted to the PNP's command group as Acting Chief of the Directorial Staff, making him the fourth highest-ranking official in the PNP.
According to Marbil's General Order dated October 8, the assignment and reassignment will take effect on October 9.
Francisco was previously assigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit following the appointment of PBGen. Nicolas Torre III as CIDG Chief.
Okubo was placed in the Command Group, replacing PLtGen. Jon Arnaldo, who retired last October 3.
