Foreigners are being reminded to comply with their immigration requirements early if they are planning to leave the country during the All Saints' Day and All Souls’ Day holiday breaks.
The Bureau of Immigration said on Wednesday that there would be a decrease in queueing time if they would comply early, as they could avoid unnecessary lines, specifically in the airport cashiers during their flight.
It reminded foreigners who are registered permanently living, working, or studying in the Philippines to secure a re-entry permit prior to leaving the country, which they can do at any of the bureau’s district, field, satellite, and extension offices across the Philippines.
Moreover, tourists who have stayed in the country for over six months should also get emigration clearance certificates before leaving.
According to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, departing foreigners may need to secure the documents at their one-stop shop facility located at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
They are also reminded to arrive at least three hours prior to their flight and then go straight to immigration after they check in.
