Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri believes that the reclamation project in Manila Bay triggered the massive flooding outside the Senate compound in Pasay City.

In a message to reporters on Wednesday, Zubiri described the situation as "another disaster," emphasizing that there are no outlets left for floodwater to subside.

"This I believe, is the consequence of all the reclamation happening in Manila Bay, wala ng malabasan na flood water dito sa Pasay at Manila (This I believe, is the consequence of all the reclamation happening in Manila Bay; there are no passageways for flood water here in Pasay and Manila)," his text message read.

Moreover, Zubiri expressed his dismay over the ongoing consequences caused by projects such as the reclamation in Manila Bay.
