Some airlines have announced that domestic flights to and from Cotabato City are canceled until June 30 due to the closure of the runway in Awang Airport or Cotabato Airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) earlier issued an official Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) advisory stating the Awang Airport will be closed for "urgent repairs of the asphalt overlay."

In an announcement, Cebu Pacific said the following domestic flights are canceled:

• 5J 885/886 Manila – Cotabato – Manila
• 5J 887/888 Manila – Cotabato – Manila
• DG 6684/6685 Zamboanga – Cotabato – Zamboanga

In lieu of the canceled flights, Cebu Pacific is offering recovery flights to and from Davao International Airport.

In a separate advisory, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that the following flights are canceled from June 22 until further notice:

• PR 2959/2960 (Daily) Manila – Cotabato – Manila
• PR 2957/2958 (July 11) Manila – Cotabato – Manila
• PR 2223/2234 (Monday & Thursday) Cebu – Cotabato – Cebu
• PR 2487/2488 (Monday & Thursday) Cotabato – Tawi-Tawi – Cotabato

PAL is also offering Manila-Davao-Manila replacement flights.
