Five people were injured as Starmall Alabang in Muntinlupa City was raged by fire on Saturday.
The five reported injuries included four members of the Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) and one fire volunteer, according to the BFP-NCR.
According to the bureau, the fire broke out from the lower ground level of the four-story commercial building on early Saturday morning.
It reached the first alarm at 3:43AM, second alarm at 4:15AM, third alarm at 04:49AM AM, fifth alarm at 7:13AM, and then Task Force Alpha at 07:46AM.
The fire eventually declared under control at 7:03PM, before it was announced fire out by the BFP at 12:21PM on Sunday.
No casualties were reported, and the BFP said estimated damages reached "more or less" P100 million on Saturday.
There were also no reports yet on what started the blaze.
Starmall Alabang in a statement said it was "saddened" by the turn of events but "thankful" that were no reported casualties.
Its management said that tenants affected will coordinated regarding their concerns.
"We appeal for your patience and understanding as we wait for the results of the BFP investigation," Starmall Alabang said.
"For our loyal customers, we vow to rise above this adversity and come out stronger than ever to be able to serve you better," it added.
In addition, the management extended its gratitude to the fire brigades and volunteer groups from the National Capital Region, as well as Imus, Bacoor, and Dasmariñas in Cavite that responded to the fire.
It also thanked the Philippine National Police that provided security and Maynilad for providing water that helped contain the blaze.
