The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued a fishing boat on Tuesday after reportedly being hit by an unknown vessel in Cabra Island, Occidental Mindoro.
Based on the incident report of PCG, the incident happened around 4:15 in the morning.
PCG said that the fishing boat “Ron Kirby 4” was anchored in the waters of Cabra Island when an unknown vessel hit them.
The impact damaged the outrigger of the boat with 40 people on board.
All crewmembers were rescued with no injuries reported.
According to PCG, the crew was transported by BRP Bagacay to Calatagan Port, Batangas.
In collaboration with the Philippine National Police, the PCG Station Batangas is presently conducting an investigation and in search of the unidentified vessel.
