A fire broke out in a restaurant inside a mall in Parañaque City on Thursday, July 18, which left a fire volunteer injured and damaged P16 million worth of restaurant property.

In a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort, smoke was observed from one of the mall’s restaurants during mall hours. Fortunately, customers and other personnel were swiftly evacuated from the said area, as the mall’s emergency protocols were also immediately activated.

However, a fire volunteer sustained minimal wounds from the incident, said a fire police officer.

The Bureau of Fire Protection declared official fire out by 10:45 p.m. and reported minimal damage was sustained from the fire. Safety checks were conducted to ensure everyone’s well-being.
