

A fire broke out in Brgy. Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City, on Wednesday, resulting in one death and two injuries.

The Red Cross reported that the two injured individuals, a 31-year-old male and a 25-year-old female, sustained first-degree burns and have asked for their names to remain confidential.
Furthermore, the man who was injured sustained burns on his arms and hands, as well as a wound on his leg, after rescuing his two children, aged 5 and 7, from their burning home.
By 1:26 PM, the fire had been controlled and completely put out by 1:53 PM.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started on the second floor of a two-story house at 12:36 PM and quickly escalated to a second alarm.
The BFP is still conducting an investigation and assessment to ascertain the cause of the fire, the number of houses burned, and the total value of the property damage.
