A massive fire hit a supermarket in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City, early Wednesday morning, January 28.

The fire was first raised to second alarm at 4:50 a.m., then quickly escalated to fourth alarm, before being raised to fifth alarm by 5:17 a.m. due to the intensity of the blaze.

In a report by Val Gonzales during Dos Por Dos, portions of the establishment reportedly collapsed as firefighters struggled to contain the massive fire.

As of 8:01 a.m., the fire has been declared under control.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
