A fire broke out at an international school (IS) in Quezon City on Friday, September 15.
Based on the report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire broke out at around 8:59 in the morning at Starland International School (SIS), located on 12th Avenue, Brgy. Socorro, Quezon City.
According to a school official, students were in the middle of class when the fire started.
It has been said that the students, teachers, and employees of the school were immediately evacuated.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross said five people were treated for minor injuries. Four of those hurt were firefighters while the last is a school teacher.
BFP said the fire, which reached second alarm, originated at the storage room. It then spread to other areas within the campus.
It was declared a fireout around 10:18 in the morning yesterday.
