A fire hit residential areas in the coastal part of Cavite City on Sunday afternoon, July 14.
According to the report of RH Noche Cacas, the fire that started at around 3:30 p.m. affected Barangay 5 and Barangay 7.
The fire that reached the fourth alarm was declared under control at 4:57 p.m. and was fired out at 5:54 p.m.
Putting the fire out was challenging for the Bureau of Fire Protection due to the strong wind and thick smoke.
Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua said more than 900 families have been affected.
They were immediately evacuated to Dalahican Elementary School and are being taken care of by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Affected residents who lost their homes seek immediate assistance to support their needs.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
