A fire hit approximately 30 houses along the shoreline of Brgy. Duterte, Davao City, on Monday, Dec. 18.

In a Facebook post, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said it rescued the residents affected by the blaze.

"The Special Operations Unit-Southeastern Mindanao and Coast Guard Station Davao quickly mobilized to provide rescue operations and essential aid to the affected residents," PCG said.

The Coast Guard said the two aforementioned teams cooperated in aiding the affected families during their time of need.
