Approximately 30 houses were engulfed in flames during a fire that occurred on Arellano-Dagonoy Street in San Andres, Manila on Wednesday morning, December 4.
In a report by RH Boy Gonzales, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at around 6:53 AM and quickly spread due to the lightweight materials used in the construction of the homes.
The blaze reached the third alarm status and was declared extinguished at 9:07 AM.

Almost 70 families were affected by the fire, with many losing nearly all of their belongings. Among those injured was a 76-year-old man who suffered burns on his body.
As of now, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, and an estimate of the total damage to property has not yet been assessed.
