The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Friday reported that they already issued the national IDs of more than10 million Filipinos.
In an announcement, the PSA said the Philippine ID cards have already been delivered to more than 10.5 million individuals in the entire country.
According to the PSA, this is 37.3% of their target this year.
The PSA is in partnership with the Philippine Postal Corporation for the delivery of the Philippine ID cards to their respective owners.
In relation to this, PSA Undersecretary Dennis Mapa said that they can verify the authenticity of the cards through the PhilSys check, a website for identity verification for the Phil. ID cardholders.
The PSA is also in the process of developing a PhilSys mobile application that will become the digital version of the Philippine ID and will be used for public and private transactions.
