Filipino hurdler John Cabang Tolentino bagged a bronze medal in the 2024 Asian Indoor Athletics Championship in Tehran, Iran.

Tolentino clocked in 7.64 seconds for a podium finish in the men's 60 meters hurdles event.

The 22-year old Filipino - Spanish athlete finishe behind Yefremov David of Kazakhstan, who finished with a time of 7.60 seconds, and Qin Weibo of China, who registered a time of 7.63 seconds.

"John’s impressive time of 7.64 has not only earned him medal but also set the new Philippine Indoor Record (Pending Rafication) in 60m Hurdles," the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association said in a Facebook post.
