A Filipina was killed in a missile attack on a residential area in Haifa on Sunday, April 5, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Tuesday, April 7.

“The Department of Foreign Affairs expresses deep sorrow over the death of a Filipina national who was killed in a missile attack on a residence in Haifa, Israel,” the DFA said in a statement.

The victim died alongside her Israeli husband and her elderly parents-in-law, according to the DFA.

The agency said the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has already informed the victim’s family of the incident and is extending assistance, including arranging for the repatriation of her remains to the Philippines despite ongoing travel challenges in the region.

“The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has informed her next of kin and is providing necessary assistance, including arrangements for the earliest possible repatriation of her remains despite the current travel situation in the region,” the statement read.

“The Department is also reaching out to support the family during this difficult time,” it added.

The family has requested privacy as they mourn their loss.

“We join the Filipino community in praying for her eternal rest and for strength for her family during this time of profound loss,“ it said.

This is the second Filipino casualty reported amid the ongoing US–Israel–Iran war. The first fatality was reported in early March 2026.
