Confusion can be brought upon drivers and commuters by the proposed Fare Discount for Public Utility Vehicles (PUV), according to Mar Valbuena, National President of the Transport Group Manibela.
According to Valbuela, The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) should thoroughly examine the new rule before it becomes public and while the mechanics and implementation are still vague.
Valbuena said.
Previously, the LTFRB said that they are preparing to implement fare discounts of PUVs in Metro Manila.
They plan to regress from the present ₱12 fare to the pre-pandemic fare of ₱9 for traditional jeepneys, according to LTFRB Chairman Teoflo ‘Jojo’ Guadiz III’.
