Kapamilya Andrea Brillantes was once again in the spotlight during a concert, this time with American singer-actress Sabrina Carpenter.
During her "Emails I Can't Send" tour at Quezon City's New Frontier Theater, Carpenter noticed Brillantes who was standing near the stage.
The singer inquired as to why Brillantes was upset and extended a microphone to the actress.
She then explained to the audience that the reason she was angry was because she had just split up with basketball player Ricci Rivero after being together for almost a year.
Brillantes claimed that many individuals harmed her reputation, even if this is not true, and that Carpenter's songs became her voice to cry out.
Carpenter initially assumed the young actress was talking to detractors, but the audience quickly informed her that it was a reference to Rivero.
Given her documented relationship with Rivero, the singer was astonished that her audience recognized who Brillantes was referring to.
Last March, at BLACKPINK's concert at the Philippine Arena, Brillantes drew the attention of the K-pop girl group with her poster, asking Rivero to be her date to the Star Magical prom.
In an interview last month, Rivero revealed that he and Brillantes split in May, emphasizing that beauty queen-turned-politician Leren Bautista was not the cause of the breakup and that he did not use Brillantes’ fame for personal benefit.
In a separate interview, Brillantes stated that she spent over P1 million on Rivero's presents but does not regret their connection despite reports that the sportsman cheated on her.
