The family of an 82-year-old woman, who was recently laid to rest, is in shock and outrage after discovering that her remains were taken from her tomb by an unidentified suspect at the town’s public cemetery.

According to DZRH News Naga, a cemetery worker found the woman’s tomb forcibly opened on the morning of Sunday, February 16. The coffin was empty, prompting an immediate search for the missing body.

Authorities later discovered the remains over 100 meters away from the grave.

The body bore scratches, and the woman’s lower garments were missing, leading investigators to suspect that she may have been sexually assaulted.
