The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday that the family of beauty queen-teacher and Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon, who went missing on October 12, requested privacy while the investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
According to PNP spokesperson and Public Information Office (PIO) Chief Col. Jean Fajardo, the PNP respects the family’s request to quietly investigate for their privacy.
Camilon’s mother and sister publicly took the opportunity to look for her in a series of social media posts after she went missing while traveling from Tuy to Batangas City.
Fajardo told the reporters that the police had already scanned areas that Camilon had possibly visited after her disappearance, and they are validating a report they received from the areas that she went to.
She added that they are now coordinating with the area’s management, but she said that she cannot give more details.
Earlier, Tuy Police Chief Major Eugenio Naphtalo Solomon said that the lead is still unclear about Camilon’s whereabouts and that the authorities are looking for all possible means to locate her.
