EXO’s D.O., whose real name is Doh Kyung-so, is reportedly gearing up to release his debut solo album under his new music label Company Soosoo this May.

According to South Korean outlet Soompi, a representative from Company Soosoo confirmed to them that the 30-year-old singer will make his comeback in the K-pop world.

“It’s true that he’s currently preparing for a new album with the goal of releasing it in the first half of the year. However, no specific details have been finalized at the moment,” the label’s representative said as quoted and translated by Soompi.

D.O. joined Company SooSoo in October 2023 shortly after he departed from SM Entertainment, his company for 11 long years.

Company SooSoo was reportedly founded by Nam Kyung Soo, a former SM Entertainment director and manager.

Before he left SM Entertainment, D.O released two mini albums.

In 2021, he dropped his first mini album titled “Empathy” which was composed of eight tracks including the lead single “Rose”.

The second last mini album called “Expectation” was dropped in 2023. It has lead single “Somebody” and six other b-side tracks.
