Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has been adopted as a "son" of Pampanga.

On Thursday, during the “Handog pasasalamat ng mga Kapampangan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte” event at Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga, former president and now Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo thanked Duterte for doing major projects with a long-term economic impact on the province.

Arroyo shared photos from the event on her Facebook page.

During the event, Duterte received a copy of the resolution handed out by Gov. Dennis Pineda and his mother, Vice Gov. Lilia Pineda, in rites attended by mayors and local officials.
