Former President Rodrigo Duterte, once again, made an offensive threat to ACT Teachers Party-list Representative France Castro after he was summoned by the court following the legislator’s complaint against him.
In a televised interview on Wednesday, Duterte mentioned that Castro should be included in his statement on killing communists.
Castro filed a complaint against Duterte after he vocally made death threats to the lawmaker on national television, for which the Quezon City prosecutors issued a subpoena on Wednesday, requesting the former president to appear before the Office of the City Prosecutor on December 4 and 11.
However, Duterte is adamant that he will not appear before the Quezon City prosecutors, saying that he would rather go to jail since he is being oppressed by Castro.
Duterte then indirectly told Castro not to overthink, as she is a member of Congress and she is no longer vulnerable to the anger coming from the deaths of the military and police.
Meanwhile, the grave threat complaint is the first for the former chief executive since he stepped down from office in 2022.
